The amount of CCJs (County Court Judgement) awarded to people in debt in the UK has peaked to its highest point ever, trebling the average for the nation.

A CCJ will stay imprinted on an individual’s credit record for six years unless the full cost of the debt is repaid within one month. If these debts cannot be fulfilled, it will be very difficult to obtain credit in the future.
