After An IVA, you may want a credit card or other financial services. Once your IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement) is completed, you can start repairing your credit history again. After an IVA your statement of completion will be sent to the Insolvency Service and your credit history will be updated.
You can make sure your credit history has been updated after you complete your IVA by getting a copy from a credit agency. If any other details are incorrect, you can inform the agencies and get changes made. Depending on what they are you may be able to boost your credit rating.
Different lenders have different criteria for determining your credit rating. Some of them might look favourably upon the fact you kept up regular repayments for five years while in your IVA.
